West Quay have had a huge change with the creation of a brand new building next to West Quay North – now appropriately named West Quay South. So if you haven’t already, go and check it out! The interior is fitted with comfy seating and secure sockets to charge your phone where you can lock and leave it for up to 30 minutes.

This new building includes many more restaurants and bars; Nando’s, Five Guys and Casa Brazil are just a few. With a Jamie’s Italian joining the others soon, you’ll be spoilt for choice when deciding where to wine and dine.

There is also a brand new Hollywood Bowl in West Quay South. The stylish bowling alley and a diner can cater for guests of all ages. They even have a miniature arcade where you could easily spend hours having fun.

Showcase cinema de Lux will soon be opening in West quay South on February 10th. This is perfect for people living near to the centre of the city. With student prices available, ten screens and (as the name says) it should be luxury and will even have reclining seats available!

You may have seen the Chinese lanterns outside the building was to celebrate the Chinese New Year. Today West Quay shared the celebrations with the Chinese Arts Southampton and the Chinese Association of Southampton. Activities took place all day and included martial arts, musical performances and dancing – with a special performance of the traditional dragon dance.

Make sure you head over to West Quay and investigate the new building for yourself and let us know at @Sonar_Magazine if you like it as much as we do!
